Seosan Birdland, November 29

On November 29, Matt Poll, Subhojit Chakladar and I visited Seosan. Upon surveying some rice fields, we passed the backside of the Seosan Birdland facilities and found a Cinereous Vulture 독수리, Eurasian Eagle Owl 수리부엉이, Northern Goshawk 흰참매, Peregrine Falcon 매, some Spot-billed Duck 흰뺨검둥오리, and a Raccoon Dog 너구리 caged and on display. There were also some other non-native species that shared space in nearby covered-cages. Although there were a few small signs that warned about disturbance and causing anxiety to wild birds, classical music was being played over the park's loudspeakers, and we happened to come across some noisy visitors that were clearly causing stress to the vulture and the goshawk. On an adjacent nearby lot, there were also caged Mandarin Ducks 원앙새. Here are some images of what we observed.
